Invisible

I make too much
To get assistance
They said it
So rude
But not enough
To buy food
Not enough to be
Needful
Just enough to be
Invisible

The Middle class
They say is
Where I belong
But not enough
To right a wrong
Not enough to be
Vocal
Just enough to be
 Invisible

Get an education
They say and
You will
Get a job
But not enough
Jobs
Only
Sobs
Not enough to be
Vital
Just enough to be
Invisible

Work part-time
They say
To pay the bills
But not enough
It’s a given
Not enough to
Pay the
Politician
Not enough to be
Equal
Just enough to be
Invisible

But enough
Of What
They say
Enough
Of being
Divisible
Enough
Of being
Invisible
To The Streets
I go
To Be
Vocal
To Be
Visible
